Position: We are seeking a HIL Engineer to join our US team and contribute to Battery Management System (BMS) testing and validation activities.
Responsibilities
- Use ETAS INCA together with DSpace platforms for measurement, calibration and validation tasks.
- Analyze CAN networks employing Vector CANalyzer/CANoe in combination with DSpace and ETAS tools.
- Develop and validate models and tests using MATLAB/Simulink and perform debugging with Lauterbach tools.
- Ensure BMS compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations, including ISO 26262.
- Integrate BMS hardware (battery modules, sensors, communication interfaces) into the HIL environment and verify interactions.
- Document HIL setups, procedures and results in detail for traceability and regulatory purposes.
- Produce comprehensive test reports to inform stakeholders, support compliance, and drive continuous improvement.
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Background in the automotive sector with specific experience on BMS applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work proactively in a team.
- Proven experience designing and developing HIL test systems for BMS using DSpace hardware platforms.
- Proficiency with ETAS INCA for measurement, calibration and embedded-software validation in BMS controllers.
Education & experience
Required education: Master's Degree (listed); career level: Experienced (2-5 years).
