Job Position Description

Teoresi is an international engineering services company founded in 1987 in Turin, Italy, with offices in Europe and the United States. The company supports customers in product and process development using advanced technologies — from autonomous vehicles to medical nanotechnology — and collaborates closely with R&D teams of major industrial brands to deliver turnkey solutions. Teoresi has also been selected among a handful of companies to work with Amazon on projects involving Alexa voice technology.

We are seeking Railway Engineers to join our team at Teoresi, Inc. in the United States. Candidates should be interested in contributing to system-level design, integration, testing and validation activities within the railway domain.

Responsibilities

  • Use railway-focused simulation and testing tools to validate and integrate systems.
  • Apply diagnostic and monitoring tools to analyze train networks and communication systems, including TCMS and Ethernet-based protocols.
  • Develop system models, perform simulations and validations using MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent modeling environments.
  • Ensure compliance of railway systems with applicable safety standards and regulations, such as EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129.
  • Integrate onboard and wayside subsystems — signaling elements, sensors, communication interfaces and control units — into system-level test environments (for example HIL/SIL).
  • Maintain thorough documentation of test setups, procedures and results in line with railway standards and certification requirements.
  • Produce detailed test reports to share findings with stakeholders, support regulatory compliance and enable continuous improvement.

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Transportation Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in the railway or broader transportation industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Hands-on experience in system integration, verification and validation within railway contexts.
  • Familiarity with railway communication protocols and signaling systems (e.g., ERTMS/ETCS, CBTC) and embedded systems development is a plus.
  • Experience working with safety-critical systems and ensuring compliance with railway regulations.

Education: Bachelor's Degree required.

Career level: Experienced (2-5 years).

Benefits

  • Company-provided insurance: Health, Vision, Dental, Life, Long Term Disability (LTD) and Short Term Disability (STD).
  • Retirement and savings: 401(k) plan and Flexible Spending Account (FSA).
  • Paid time off: Vacation, sick leave and company holidays.

We welcome your application.
