- Apply diagnostic and monitoring tools to analyze train networks and communication systems, including TCMS and Ethernet-based protocols.
- Develop system models, perform simulations and validations using MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent modeling environments.
- Ensure compliance of railway systems with applicable safety standards and regulations, such as EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129.
- Integrate onboard and wayside subsystems — signaling elements, sensors, communication interfaces and control units — into system-level test environments (for example HIL/SIL).
- Maintain thorough documentation of test setups, procedures and results in line with railway standards and certification requirements.
- Produce detailed test reports to share findings with stakeholders, support regulatory compliance and enable continuous improvement.
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Transportation Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in the railway or broader transportation industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Hands-on experience in system integration, verification and validation within railway contexts.
- Familiarity with railway communication protocols and signaling systems (e.g., ERTMS/ETCS, CBTC) and embedded systems development is a plus.
